If your soccer tour includes a pro training session, you will want to know where it takes place, who runs it and how long it lasts before you tell your players about it. Here is what you can expect when your team trains at one of our partner academies in Holland or Germany.
At the club's own academy
Every pro training session takes place at the official youth academy facilities of the club. These are the complexes where the clubs' own youth players, and often the first team, train every week.
- PSV Eindhoven trains at De Herdgang, renovated in 2019 and used by the first team, the youth academy and the women's team.
- Feyenoord's Varkenoord complex in Rotterdam was also renovated in 2019 and is home to the first team, the academy and the women's team.
- Vitesse is based at Papendal near Arnhem, the Olympic training center of Holland.
- The KNVB Campus in Zeist is where the Dutch national teams train. It has 5 pitches, an indoor pitch, a restaurant and a team hotel.
- Borussia Dortmund's Strobelallee Training Centre, used by the first team and the youth academy, sits near Signal Iduna Park.
90 minutes with professional coaches
A session lasts 90 minutes and is designed and led by professional coaches. Your players train on the same pitches as the academy's own youth teams, in a setting that feels very different from a normal club evening at home.
Every tour is built around your team's goals and level. Tell us in advance what you would like to work on and how experienced your players are, so we can choose the club and the program that fit your team.
How many sessions, and what you can add
Our training packages include at least one or two 90-minute sessions, depending on the club. At PSV the package starts at two sessions. You can upgrade a package with extras that differ per club:
- Lunch at the academy restaurant, for example at PSV, Feyenoord and the KNVB Campus
- A stadium tour, such as the PSV, Feyenoord, Vitesse or Borussia Dortmund stadium tour
- Club merchandise
- Tickets for a home game of the first team, subject to availability
Combine clubs on one tour
On a tour of 4 to 8 days you can combine two countries, for example a session in Dortmund and one in Eindhoven or Rotterdam. Between the sessions we plan friendly matches against local clubs and time for sightseeing. Ask us for a tour proposal and we will suggest the clubs that fit your group.
